She is the president of her school’s student council and a member of the Youth Leadership Council of the Bronx, which helps guide policy within her borough.

Fegan is also an intern with United We Dream, one of the largest immigrant youth organizations in the US.

Fegan was born in Ireland in 1969. She earned a degree in nursing from University College Cork and worked as a nurse before moving to the United States in 1993. There, she began working with children who had been abused. In 1997, Fegan founded the non-profit organization Prevent Child Abuse America (PACA). The organization’s goal is to prevent child abuse through education, outreach and support services.

In 2006, PACA opened the first national center dedicated exclusively to providing support services to child sexual abuse victims and their families. The center provides counseling, therapy, housing assistance, food assistance and other necessary services.

In addition to her work with PACA, Fegan has written several books about child sexual abuse. Her most recent book is called “Unforgiving: A Survivor’s Guide to Healing from Sexual Abuse.” In it, Fegan discusses her experiences as a survivor of child sexual abuse and how she managed to recover from the trauma inflicted on her by the abuser.
